It is an absolutely beautifully decorated hotel with only the best quality furnishing, all very modern with neutral tones and hues yet a touch of antiquity with silver stained mirrors and prints. Jozani Forest despite being one of the last remaining ground water forests boasts a rich diversity of natural endowment including swamp forest, evergreen thicket and mangrove. Red Colobus and Sykes monkeys can be seen fooling amongst the exotic indigenous and non-indigenous flora. Kizimkazi nestles snugly on the Southern tip of the Island; it offers idyllic coastal views that are in marked contrast to those of the forest. | Prison Island |

Prison Island or Changuu Island is the middle island of the three visible islands from Stone Town. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get there by an outboard engine powered wooden boat. The prison on this island was built in 1893, which was later used as a Quarantine Hospital. It is the home of the giant tortoises that were brought to this Island from Seychelles by Sultan Said in the 1820's. One can also swim, snorkel, sunbathe or just relax and enjoy the peacefulness that this beautiful island has to offer. |
